Response to the question:
“On a scale of 1(not very sick) – 10(extremely sick), how sick are you of your topic for your story productions? Why?”
For my story, I chose a topic that meant a lot to me and one that I was very passionate about. Knowing in the beginning that we would have to work with the same topic through out the semester I made sure to pick the topic I was most passionate about, and one that I could explore through a few different angles. I had had several topics I would have loved to speak on at first, but after realizing the length of time we would be working on these I altered my topic accordingly.
With that being said, I am at a 2 on the scale of sickness for my topic. I actually enjoy using the same topic through different mediums. I feel that with each new unit we work on, my story takes on a new life and I am able to share more and more about it in different ways. I think that exploring the same topic through all the mediums will only make it better, so that one can find the best representation medium for their idea.
I would like the opportunity, perhaps, to talk on another one of my subject ideas of music, but I am very happy with my topic now and can always incorporate the music subject in my current topic.

Writing Response for class 3-7-2011
Writing Response answering the following questions:
“What are the 4 strengths or skills I bring to this team multimedia authoring project?”
“What behaviors can I practice to most effectively contribute to this team project?”
When working with a team it is important to understand the skills and experience each member has in a particular department. I feel that when the different skills are recognized the group as a whole can recognize who should be the leader in each area.
Having someone who already has particular skills or experience with certain areas can assure the proper completion of that department for the media piece and allow the final product to be its best.
I have had several years experience with recording and editing sound through my volunteering position at the college radio station. I would say skills/ strengths I can bring to the team project would be editing both writing and recorded sections, being that I am a non-traditional older student I can bring a different view to the table as well. Other skills I have that could be beneficial is having worked with video recording in the past with a photography class I can assist on angles for the camera and placement of actor or focus piece of the shot.
Behaviors to practice that would be beneficial to a team project would be listening skills and critiquing skills. I think that being a good listener is an essential part to group work so that all ideas and voices are heard creating the final piece with all members inputs not just the “leaders” view.
Having good critiquing skills is essential as well, since it will allow members to alter, adjust or better the product at the same time keeping others feelings and ideas in mind. I can work on my understanding of the topic that my group chooses so that I can make sure I have a clear understanding of the topic and will be able to properly represent and speak on behave of it.

Audio file sharing with MediaFire on your blog
For easier access to your audio files on the blog, I found the MediaFire works very well. It doesnt say an account is needed, but I suggest to build one for saving and worry free audio sharing.(the account is FREE)
So click the "creat an account button", select the FREE account type and get started. You will see a large green button that says "upload to mediafire", click that a prompt window will appear.
Click in the yellow/tan large color box that says upload file. After you've selected your file and it finishes uploading (pretty quickly actually, your file is ready to be shared and if you created an account it is stored automatically to your account on the site.
For sharing, copy the URL it gives you and put that as a "link" in your blog by highlighting the word(s) you would like to reader to click on to take them to the link, then hit the link button in blog tool bar and a prompt comes up for URL. Paste your audio file URL you recieved from MediaFire and BAM! All good for the reader.
Once the reader clicks your linked words they will be directed to MediaFire sight, with a big button that says DOWNLOAD FILE. (not the download file/play now) once that is clicked it will download, super quick, and automatically come up with a media player with your file playing.
Worked for me hope it works for you guys too.

Unit 3 Response
What is your Why? ( What is your belief?)
My why, or my belief is that this is a message that needs to be heard. Having grown up with an addicted parent led me to the life of addiction, and although I was able to pull myself out of the lifestyle many kids can not. This is a problem that needs to be exterminated. I believe that if parents were to have more of an understanding of their own problems and its direct relationship with their childs problems and their relationship with their children it would help increase positivity and a clean lifestyle for all people involved.
What is your How? ( How can the audience show support?)
My non-addicted audience can help first off by CARING! This is a serious, dangerous and real life problem that is around everyone everyday, most do not even realize. The audience can help by donating to rehabilitation centers or gain a better understanding of what addiction is and understand it is a disease that many cant help, without help that is.
My preferred, currently addicted parents can help by using the information given for the better. Look into local NA and AA meetings and actually go to them. Begin to realize that the addiction problem that YOU have does not only hurt YOU, but really hurts those around you more. You feel "great" when your doped up, but the ones around you never feel good about themselves or their relationship with you, since addicts normally bring those around them down the hole too.
What will be gained?
Addicted parents will hopefully see this and realize the affects of their addiction and its domino effect on those around them, especially their kids. This is a focus I do not see very often. I always see just say no ads for kids or separate ads for adults to get clean stay clean. But no ad or messages are really sent to them both at the same time for the same reasons. This is a message for the family as a whole, a realization for all parties what has been done and what can be done. Life can be improved and this message will hopefully open up the eyes of many, addicts and non addicts alike.
