What is your Why? ( What is your belief?)
My why, or my belief is that this is a message that needs to be heard. Having grown up with an addicted parent led me to the life of addiction, and although I was able to pull myself out of the lifestyle many kids can not. This is a problem that needs to be exterminated. I believe that if parents were to have more of an understanding of their own problems and its direct relationship with their childs problems and their relationship with their children it would help increase positivity and a clean lifestyle for all people involved.
What is your How? ( How can the audience show support?)
My non-addicted audience can help first off by CARING! This is a serious, dangerous and real life problem that is around everyone everyday, most do not even realize. The audience can help by donating to rehabilitation centers or gain a better understanding of what addiction is and understand it is a disease that many cant help, without help that is.
My preferred, currently addicted parents can help by using the information given for the better. Look into local NA and AA meetings and actually go to them. Begin to realize that the addiction problem that YOU have does not only hurt YOU, but really hurts those around you more. You feel "great" when your doped up, but the ones around you never feel good about themselves or their relationship with you, since addicts normally bring those around them down the hole too.
What will be gained?
Addicted parents will hopefully see this and realize the affects of their addiction and its domino effect on those around them, especially their kids. This is a focus I do not see very often. I always see just say no ads for kids or separate ads for adults to get clean stay clean. But no ad or messages are really sent to them both at the same time for the same reasons. This is a message for the family as a whole, a realization for all parties what has been done and what can be done. Life can be improved and this message will hopefully open up the eyes of many, addicts and non addicts alike.
